11 March 2014, Johannesburg: In 1998, Miele created a completely new appliance category with the world's first built-in coffee maker. The current Generation 6000 is the fourth generation of the built-in coffee maker from Miele and it has much more to offer.
The new CupSensor feature: With the CupSensor of the new flagship model, Miele once again confirms its longtime leadership in innovation. This fascinating feature highlight always ensures the optimum distance between the spout and the cup or glass. Whether you put a tall latte macchiato glass or a dainty espresso cup under the central spout, the spout automatically moves to the optimal position thanks to Miele’s new CupSensor cup-edge detection feature. This virtually eliminates the problem of spluttering and milk and coffee splashes, ensuring the perfect coffee temperature and the best crema. As the icing on the cake, the spout even reacts precisely to all beverages made with milk by raising the spout by 1cm, making room for the incoming espresso. The central spout stays out of the milk froth and thus stays clean.
The OneTouch for Two feature: The OneTouch for Two function allows you to prepare two coffee specialties simultaneously, such as cappuccino and latte macchiato for example. Preparation time is reduced significantly when two or more cups are to be served – and there is more room to enjoy them together.
The EasyClick milk system: This new system makes it even easier for connoisseurs to prepare coffee specialties with milk. The visually stunning 0.7-litre glass container is equipped with a separate lid for safe storage of milk in the fridge, and it also docks securely directly on the machine. The glass container not only looks elegant, but also shows the user the current filling capacity and it is easy to clean and sanitise.
Convenient cleaning routines: These routines comprise an automatic rinse function of all components in which coffee flows, the descaling of components in which water flows, and the degreasing of the percolator to ensure optimal hygiene. After use, all milk spouts and hoses with water from the water container get automatically rinsed for optimum hygiene.
MTouch technology: Now you can operate your Miele CVA6805 coffee machine in the same way that you operate your smartphone… A double cappuccino at the touch of a single button – all is now done extremely elegantly and more simply than ever before with Miele’s new M Touch controls. M Touch stands for a high-resolution TFT (thin-film transistor) display, and it is reminiscent of smart phones and tablet PCs. The menu is browsed by swiping or scrolling with the tip of a finger. Functions and menu options appear in brilliantly clear white letters on a black background. Colour elements are favoured for the display in the interests of improved clarity and a low-key approach – “OK” to confirm a function is highlighted in green and the “Stop” button is red. MTouch also offers a large number of automatic programmes, and a search function for added convenience and more streamlined functionality. Using a virtual keyboard, the user simply types in the first letter of a word, for instance C for Cappuccino, and a list of all entries containing the term from which to select the appropriate programme will appear on the display. When switched off, the MTouch display shows the time of day either using an analogue clock face or in digital form.
New colours: Like all appliances in Miele’s Generation 6000 range of appliances, the built-in coffee machines are available in four stunning finishes, namely CleanSteel, Brilliant White, Obsidian Black and Havanna Brown. The new colours make for seamless integration in any kitchen composition.

The Meile CVA6805 integrated coffee machine is a plumbed-in system, and it is available in CleanSteel, Brilliant White, Obsidian Black and Havanna Brown. It boasts MTouch controls, the One Touch for Two feature, the EasyClick glass milk flask, the Automatic CupSensor, a 500g capacity coffee bean container, and a 2,3-litre water container.
